What ages does Dr. Kosarek see?

Dr. Kosarek is an adult psychiatrist who sees patients ages 16 and older. She has a special interest in transition-age populations.

What diagnoses does Dr. Kosarek manage?

Dr. Kosarek is comfortable treating a wide variety of diagnoses, including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar spectrum disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, and psychotic disorders. She is able to diagnose ADHD but does not provide neuropsychological testing. She does not evaluate for Autism Spectrum Disorders, but she can treat comorbid psychiatric conditions in individuals with ASD.

Where is the office?

Dr. Kosarek is located on the second floor of 3 Lebanon Street in Hanover. Her office is through the wooden door adjacent to “The Fourth Place.”

What should I bring to an initial appointment?

Please have a list of all your current medications, as well as a list of psychiatric medications you have tried in the past. Be sure to complete the intake forms sent to you prior to your appointment. Any payment will also be expected at the time of service.

How long will I be in treatment?

The length of treatment is individually determined. Some patients’ symptoms may stabilize on a medication regimen after some time without the need for longitudinal psychiatric care. For other patients with relapsing, persistent, or severe symptoms, ongoing psychiatric care over years or even a lifetime may be indicated to ensure the highest quality of life with the lowest symptom burden.

Does Dr. Kosarek provide telehealth services?

Dr. Kosarek is able to provide telehealth services in VT and NH. She requests that patients attend their first meeting and at least one meeting per year thereafter in person. Of note, she is not able to prescribe controlled substances over telehealth to patients in VT without at least one in-person meeting due to DEA laws.

There is a parking garage located at 7 Lebanon Street for which Dr. Kosarek can validate your parking fee. Otherwise, public parking is available throughout downtown Hanover.
